Q. Will there be weekly racing at Clinton in 2010?
A. Yes, the Clinton Speedway at Clinton Motorsports Park will be running weekly racing events in 2010. The Friday night program will be run on the 1/6 mile inside track and the Saturday night program will run on the 3/8 mile track.
Q. What classes will be running.
A. Friday: Go-karts, Quads, Mini-Sprints, we are currently working on the class details for Fridays. Saturday: Modified, IMCA Southern Sportmod, Factory Stock, IMCA Hobby Stock, IMCA Sport Compact.
Q. When will you have a schedule and rules posted on the website?
A. Rules for the Saturday program are posted now, it will probably be mid January for the Friday rules. We are currently working with IMCA on our schedule but it looks like we will be starting late March - early April.
Q. Are you running Sprint Cars?
A. We are working with OCRS for our Sprint Car dates. There will probably be 2-3 sprint shows in 2010.
Q. I heard I can get text message updates from the speedway now, is that true?
A. Yes, we just recently signed up with txtWire.com for their text message alert service. To join text "racing" to 91011 (no quote marks) and the system will send you a confirmation text. We plan on using this system for event information and special notices.
Q. Is the name of the track changing?
A. Yes we are going to "re-brand" the track to "Wild West Speedway". The new website and all future marketing will reflect the change but www.clintonmotorsportspark.com, www.clintonspeedway.com and www.wildwestspeedway.com will all still work to get you to the track website.
Q. Are you looking for help?
