Re: Clinton
Speedway 2006 race events
First off we want to thank you for being a part of our 2005 season. It
was our first season to run a special event only format, it worked out
well and we plan to continue with this format. With that in mind, the
2006 racing season is upon us and we wanted to touch base with you guys
to let you know about what we are doing this year.
We have five
racing events scheduled for 2006. The racing season will kick off memorial
weekend with the "Modified Open" this race has one of the best
purse structures in the country. Labor day weekend will be the "I-40
Super-Nationals" followed by the 3rd annual "Sooner Roundup"
September 14-17. The weekend of October 1st will see an event that is
both new and unique to motorsports. The "MODIFIED OLYMPICS"
will pit teams of ten drivers against each other to determine what state
has the fastest group of Modified drivers. We are still working out the
details on this event, but it's not to early to start getting your state
team together. Our final racing event of the year will be the "CMP
Winternationals" November 3-5.
We are also
pleased to announce our new DRIVER FRIENDLY entry fee policy. In 2006
we will begin accepting early entries for our two big Modified races February
1, 2006. In an effort to encourage drivers to enter early our new policy
will be to not cash any checks or charge cards until the day of the event.
So you can send in your entry fee early to get the reduced price but the
check won't be run thru the bank until the Monday following the race.
We are doing this because with our automated scoring system we want to
encourage everyone to enter early, it helps speed up the sign-in process
to have drivers already entered into the computer. If you are a "no-show"
we will refund your entry fee minus a $50 cancellation charge. Early entries
may not be sold or traded without prior approval from management. We have
setup the fee schedule with a $100 discounted price if you enter 30 days
in advance of the event, a $50 discount if you enter 1 to 29 days early
and full price for entering at the event. Hopefully these changes will
make things go quicker at sign-in and let you keep your money in the bank
longer.
Last season
we used CDL Construction to prepare the racetrack for our Winternationals.
They did an awesome job as evidenced by the smooth track and four wide
racing action all weekend. We will be using their services again to prepare
the track for all of our 2006 race events. We have also been working on
upgrading our sound system in the pits and building new spectator seating
for the pit area. We are committed to making improvements that will make
your experience with us more fun and comfortable. If you have any questions
about our events please don't hesitate to call.
Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you in 06'!
